Typhoon Slams Philippines

The world's most powerful storm struck the Philippines early Friday morning! Winds approaching the islands gusted to 235 mph. Winds decreased a little as the Typhoon crossed the islands, but will regain strength as the storm moves out over the South China Sea. The satellite picture above shows the storm moving offshore and headed for Vietnam, Laos, and southern China.
